Wang Binyi: Leading Party Group Member and Head of CCDI Discipline Inspection Group, MOST

Wang Binyi is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI). In December 1973, he started to work on a wheat farm in Runan County of Henan Province as an educated youth. From June 1976 to December 1977, he studied at Hubei University of Police. From December 1977 to November 1993, he served as an investigator, assistant section chief and director of Hubei Provincial Department of Public Security. In November 1993, he was appointed as Deputy Director-General of Hubei Provincial Department of Public Security. In July 1998, he was appointed as Director-General and Secretary of Party Committee of the Security Department of Tibet Autonomous Region. In November 2004, he was appointed as Director-General and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the Public Security Department of Tibet Autonomous Region. In May 2005, he was appointed as Member of the CPC Standing Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region and Director-General and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the Public Security Department of Tibet Autonomous Region. In July 2006, he was appointed as Member of the CPC Standing Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region, Secretary of Committee of Political and Legal Affairs of Tibet Autonomous Region, and Director-General and Secretary of Party Committee of the Public Security Department of Tibet Autonomous Region. In September 2008, he was appointed as Member of the CPC Standing Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region and Secretary of Committee of Political and Legal Affairs of Tibet Autonomous Region.In September 2010, he was appointed as Member of the CPC Standing Committee of Anhui Province and Secretary of Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection. He has been the head of CCDI discipline inspection group stationed at the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and member of the Leading Party Group of MOST since September 2016.

With responsibility to uphold Party integrity and fight corruption, Wang oversees the CCDI discipline inspection group stationed at MOST.
