To promote the underpinning role of science and technology in the 2008 Olympics, MOST and the Beijing Municipality proposed priority of the next-stage Olympics preparation. A batch of S&T special projects will be implemented revolving around the goal of energy conservation, emission reduction, environment protection, information and telecommunication. These efforts will help staging a green Olympic Game and improve Beijing’s information and transportation service.
