On September 26, 2007, the first plenary expert panel meeting for the seven projects on energy and transportation in the 11th Five Year Plan was convened by MOST in Beijing. Experts present were from key projects in the 863 Program, including “demonstration project of coal gasification-based polygeneration technology” and the demonstration project of “technology and system of solar thermal power generation”.

Panel leaders briefed on the status of respective projects and pledged to fulfill project goals according to set schedules and play the role as coordinator, servant, inspector and supervisor.
