Vice Minister LI Xueyong field visited Jiangsu, Shanxi and Liaoning provinces lately to study local innovation capability and the rejuvenation of old industrial bases through S&T advancement.

S&T innovation has become the major driving force and support for regional socioeconomic progress. The local governments have attached great importance to S&T innovation and achieved remarkable progress and experiences in terms of issuing related policies, increasing S&T input, innovating mechanisms, promoting the industry-education-academia synergy and building innovation platform.
