The symposium Medical France-China was successfully held in Paris. Mr. CHEN Zhu, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the chairman of Chinese delegation made an academic speech on the symposium; while Mr. SHE Jin, Vice Minister of Health as well as Administrator of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Mr. JIN Xiaoming, Director General of Department of International Cooperation, MOST, made reports respectively on current status and prospects of integrated Chinese and western medicine as well as the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Program for Cooperation in Science and Technology.

During the symposium, Mr. JIN Xiaoming met with officials from French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Science and Research and Ministry of Health, introducing the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Program. French officials expressed their interests in this program and said they would encourage and support the participation of French R&D institutions and scientists in this program.
