The Conference on International Networking for Young Scientists, part of the 2006 Oriental S&T Forum was convened in Guangzhou city. The conference was sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Department) and the British Consulates’ Culture and Education Section in Guangzhou. Heads of international cooperation from the Department attended and addressed the conference.

With the theme of cancer prevention and control, the conference witnessed enthusiastic discussion and exchanges among experts. Serving as a good start, the event gives rise to further exchanges and cooperation in relevant areas.
