China-France CDM Project Launches Pilot Operation in Guizhou

The pilot operation of China-France CDM Capacity Building Cooperative Project was officially launched in Guizhou Province. The pilot project is undertaken by Guizhou CDM Technology & Service Center (GZCDM Center). The cooperative project is jointly sponsored by MOST, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and French Development Agency (AFD) with an eye on stronger CDM capacity for implementing Kyoto Protocol in southwestern China, technology advancement in relevant fields and sustainable development.

 

The Cooperative Project falls in the responsibility of Department of Social Development and Office of Global Environmental Affairs of MOST, Office of National Coordination Committee for Climate Change of NDRC for guidance, coordination and supervision. It consists of three parts of capacity building, project support and project management with a total budget of 1.5 million euro. The project is planned to be finished within two years according to the requirement of China-France cooperative projects.
