The fifth session of China-ROK Joint Working Committee on 4G convened in Hainan Province. The attendants included FENG Jichun, Deputy Director-General of High Technology Development and Industrialization, MOST, CHEN Zhimin, Deputy Director General of Hi-tech Research and Development Center of MOST and officials from ROK Ministry of Information and Communication.

It was agreed that the working committee’s six session to be held in South Korea would entice more active participation from businesses, research institutes and academia, and initiate discussions over the long-term vision, R&D and technical standards of the next generation mobile communication.
