Substantial work over the past 4 years of establishing China Forestry Scientific Data Center (CFSDC) has led to groundbreaking successes in data integration, management and sharing, which vigorously backs the S&T innovation, environmental protection and social development of China.

A series of technical standards and criteria for data integration and sharing have been primarily completed. 40 technical standards and criteria of sharing forestry scientific data have been formulated and 2 volumes of "Technical Standard and Criteria for Forestry Scientific Database and Data Sharing" have been edited and published.

Large quantities of data were provided for the R&D of state key technologies and 863 scientific research programs and good effect has been achieved in the data sharing services. Up to now, over 20,000 subscribers have registered for data and various forestry scientific data provided offline amounts to 50GB.
