Recently, MOST, the Publicity Department, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, China Association for Science and Technology and Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly issued "Several Opinions on Opening Research Institutes and Universities to the Public for Science Popularization".
The "Opinions" defines the objectives of each stage of science popularization during the 11th Five-Year Plan period and requires relevant research institutes and universities to strengthen the team of popularizing science. In addition, the "Opinions" also asked different units to set regular time of a year and specific sites for science popularization.
