The 2006 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) Symposium, which was co-sponsored by Electric Vehicle, Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China) and the Office of Energy Conservation and New Energy Automotives under the 863 Program, was held in Beijing to bring this new concept into China. The technical roadmap and features of PHEV was discussed and its feasibility and prospects of application in China were analyzed during the meeting.
