The research topic supported by the 863 Program on battery consistency and management efficiency was completed with success by the North Automotive Quality Supervision, Appraisal and Testing Institute. Meantime, the power battery testing base was preliminarily developed to serve the society.

The base has undertaken multiple research topics on testing technologies in recent years. By 2006, 3,500 or so power batteries of 35 varieties from the 863 Project undertakers have been tested.
