VM LIU Yanhua received Chairman Donald Johnson of International Risk Governance Council on March 20. Two sides exchanged views on the development of IRGC and its cooperation with MOST in risk governance.

 

Donald Johnson briefed LIU on the resolution adopted on the board meeting on March 8 of this year. He said in the future IRGC would communicate with and advise respective governments more on policies and management of climate change and hopefully this advice can lay a solid ground for governments to make relevant policies. 

 

LIU appreciated Johnson’s view and suggested that IRGC focus more on the impact of climate change on economy, society and human activities as well as their correlation so as to view climate change from the perspective of global change.
