On 24 March, the plate-unveiling ceremony for Ningbo State High-tech Industrial Development Zone was grandly staged. CHEN Jinyu, former Secretary General of the State Council together with MAO Guanglie, Mayor and Deputy Secretary of Ningbo Municipal CPC Committee unveiled the plate of Ningbo State High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

At the plate-unveiling ceremony, CAO Jianlin, Vice Minister of Science and Technology expressed warm congratulations on the upgrading of Ningbo High-tech Zone to state level on behalf of MOST. He hoped that Ningbo State High-tech Zone would persist in promoting technological progress and enhancing independent innovation capability in its restructuring and exert itself in carrying out the development strategy of a second start-up centering round the enhancement of independent innovation capabilities and giving full play to the advantages of the state high-tech zone as an important base of independent innovation. He hoped that the state high-tech zone would bring along the development of peripheral regions and make more contributions to building an innovative country.
