On 16 April, Vice Minister CAO Jianlin listened to the report delivered by China Galileo Industries on the progress of China-EU cooperation in the EEG project of the Galileo Program.

The EEG project is so far the only project in the entire Galileo Program that converge the signal application of Galileo System and GPS. After a half year of assignment coordination and communication with relevant departments, related parties have already achieved unanimity.

Vice Minister CAO Jianlin expressed thanks to the project team for their work and agreed in principle with the overall framework and arrangement of the project. He indicated that, due to the great significance and heavy investments of this project, great emphasis should be placed on issues relating to China-EU cooperation and a good contingency plan should be worked out earnestly.
