On 8-27 April 2007, the 2007 International Workshop on New Technology for Processing Agricultural Byproducts sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation of MOST and organized by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences was successfully concluded in Beijing. 15 students from 7 neighbouring countries like Mongolia participated in this 20-day training.
The meticulously prepared contents and field tours fully showcased the development of China¡¯s agriculture, especially the vigorous development in agricultural byproduct processing, offering the students a further understanding of the status of popularisation and application of new technologies in processing agricultural byproducts in China and laying a good foundation for cooperation between China and neighbouring countries in commercializing relevant technologies.
The introductions made by the students to the status quo and current policy of each country in this industry also provided a good opportunity for the relevant industries of our country to learn from other countries.
