On 18 April, ZHANG XianĄŻen, Director General of the Department of Basic Research went to East China Normal University for inspection and study. He visited the State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectrum Science and Technology (PSST) and had a panel discussion with leaders of the university, directors of state key laboratories, chief experts of the 973 Program and some teachers. He obtained a thorough understanding of the overall situation, development and history of East China Normal University and inspected the universityĄŻs S&T work, key research areas of the laboratory of PSST and listened to the updates on the 973 Program projects the university participated in.
