Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications cooperated with Swedish Ericsson Company in the study of low-cost coordinated relay system, having designed a set of low-cost wireless network structure adapted to the requirements of future mobile communications through theoretical analysis and simulation verification of the performance increment of the relay system at link level and system level. They offered a feasible scheme for future mobile communications in the support of a network with higher speed, wider coverage and bigger capacity.
Carrying out this study through international cooperation not only greatly facilitated mutual understanding and trust among Chinese and foreign S&T personnel but also cultivated a large number of R&D talents of mobile communications for our country, drove the industrialization of China¡¯s 3G mobile communications in our country and increased our competitiveness of mobile communications theory and application in the world.
