The US National Academy of Sciences published the list of this year’s newly elected domestic and foreign academicians in Washington on May 1^st. Two of the 18 newly elected foreign academicians come from China, respectively Professor ZHANG Qifa, National Key Laboratory of Crop Genetic Improvement and Research Fellow LI Aizhen, National Key Laboratory of Information Functional Materials, while the other 16 come from the U.K., Israel, Japan and India.
