On 23 May, the Department of Basic Research of MOST organized a conference in Beijing to assess the international cooperation project of ¡°Physical Analysis of Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Experiments, ATLAS and CMS¡±. The conference mainly reviewed and appraised the research of Chinese contractors in this cooperative project.
The experts of appraisal groups questioned about the short-term and long-term objectives of the project, conducted a heated discussion on the research orientation, research basics, human resources and funds and put forth comments and made relevant suggestion on current research.
