On July 24th, Vice Minister SHANG Yong met the visiting Wal-Mart Executive Vice President, Mr. Vicente Trius in Beijing.

SHANG exchanged views with the Asia CEO about the co-sponsored forum on “Transforming Growth Pattern of Enterprises through Sustainable Development” in this October, and invited Wal-Mart for the “2009 China International S&T Exhibition for Energy Conservation, Emissions Reduction and New Energies”. The Vice Minister also suggested the two sides team up to help small and medium enterprises boost innovation and sustainable development as well as set up Poyang Lake bio-economy demonstration zone, thus achieve harmony between local socioeconomic advancement and the environment.
