The seminar on developing first-class high-tech hubs was held on August 15 in Chengdu. Torch High Tech Industrial Development Center of MOST, Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, High-Tech Industrial Parks in Shenzhen, XiĄŻan, Wuhan, Shanghai and Chengdu signed the Ą°Chengdu ConsensusĄ±, in which they made commitment to adopt new economic development pattern,, support innovation, and enhance competitiveness of Chinese high-tech industry.
The six localities have taken initiatives to develop first-rate hi-tech clusters as proposed by Premier Wen Jiaobao on his visit to Zhongguancun in 2005.
