On November 27th of 2008, themed by “Green Vehicle, Imagination of Chongqing”, Large-scale Promotion & Application Project of National Energy-Saving and New Energy Vehicle was initiated in Chongqing.
 
Vice-Chairman CHEN Wanzhi of the People’s Political Consultative Conference of Chongqing inaugurated Chongqing Chang’an Automobile Co., Ltd.. Chongqing municipal government offered RMB20 million to Chang’an Group for the large-scale promotion and application.
   
At the launch ceremony, Vice-Chairman CHEN wanzhi announced that Chongqing took the lead in procuring 10 Chang’an Jiexun HEVs as government cars. XU Liuping, Chairman and president of Chang’an Group, delivered the 10 car keys to Chongqing municipal government.

WAN Gang, Vice-Chairman of CPPCC National Committee and Minister of Science and Technology, TONG Xiaoping, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing municipal government, Vice-Chairman CHEN Wanzhi, and  Chang’an Chairman and President XU Liuping addressed the event.
